PORTALES, N.M. —Eastern New Mexico senior designated hitter Peter Creamer (Boston, Mass./Santa Rosa CC) was selected to the Daktronics All-America third team on Friday. He is the first Greyhound in school history to be named to one of the three teams.
Creamer finished his final collegiate season by leading the Lone Star Conference with a .422 batting average that ranks 12th in the nation heading into the Division II Baseball Championship. Along with his average, he also led ENMU with 36 RBI and a .558 slugging percentage while scoring 31 runs and stealing five bases.
The last Greyhound to earn All-American status was Jereme Johnson in 2009 when he was an honorable mention selection.
Teams were selected by members of the NCAA Division II College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
