Barraclough Drafted in 40th Round By Twins

Neptune Beach Pearl Right Handed Pitcher Kyle Barraclough was selected today in the 40th round with the 1,228 overall pick in the Major League Baseball Draft by the Minnesota Twins.

Barraclough who just finished his junior year at Saint Mary's College of California, was a First Team All West Coast Conference player for the Gaels this season.

He posted a 6-5 record with a 3.60 era this season.

In the Pearl home opener last week, Barraclough pitched a scoreless 9th inning for the Pearl against the NorCal Longhorns.  He was also part of the Pearl's combined No-Hitter this past Saturday against the San Francisco Seals pitching a perfect bottom of the 7th inning to close the game.

Congratulations to Kyle from all of us apart of the Neptune Beach Pearl organization.
